A 17-time All-American during his career at OBU, Hinton was a two-time national champion in the indoor 600, and also claimed three national relay titles in the 4x400 and 4x800. 

He still owns the NAIA Championship record in the indoor 600. Also a four-time champion at the prestigious Drake Relays, Hinton additionally captured the 2015 NAIA championship in the outdoor 400.

Following his decorated track career for the Bison, Hinton later worked as an admissions counselor for OBU. He earned his master’s degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Oklahoma in 2021. 

He currently lives in Chicago, Illinois and is active in social work and advocating for change in the criminal justice system.
