From Keystone, Oklahoma, Albert Bookout was a four-year letterman in football and basketball.
On the gridiron, he was a three-time first-team All-Big 4 Conference selection at end (1929, 1930, and 1931). Bookout was a first-team end on the Tulsa World's All Oklahoma Collegiate (all state) squads of 1929, 1930, and 1931.
Playing center on the basketball court, he averaged 7.4 points in 1930, 6.1 in 1931 (which led the team in scoring), and 4.1 in 1932—in an era when the team was scoring only 30 points per game.
Bookout died in 1994.Â
