Previously named to the NAIA Hall of Fame in 2015, Collazo holds OBU school records with 24 home runs, 100 RBIs and 79 runs in a season. He is the only OBU baseball player to log 20 home runs in a season, and did it twice. He is first at OBU in career home runs (46) and third in career RBI with 169.

During his career at OBU, Collazo was a two-time All-American (the second baseball player in OBU history since Gene Hacker), including first team honors in 2008, and a two-time All-Sooner Athletic Conference selection. Originally from Tampa, Florida, Collazo also earned the Rawlings Gold Glove at first base on both the conference and NAIA Region VI levels.

He joined the Bison after transferring from Ranger College, where he was named Freshman Baseball Player of the Year. He attended Jefferson High School where he broke former Major League Baseball star Tino Martinez’s single season home run record of 14.

Collazo played several seasons of independent minor league baseball after college, including for the San Angelo Colts and Shreveport-Bossier Captains.
