Frank Benson thrilled Bison fans for two years despite an injury that kept him from piling up even more numbers.
He scored 851 points and averaged 23 points per game in the 2006 season as part of his 1,232-point career. In his senior season, he was First Team All-America, First Team All-Conference and was All-NAIA Tournament as he led the Bison to the NAIA Championship game.
That 2006 season still stands up as the No. 5 single season scoring total. He had a 49-point game against East Central that season, including 21 free throws as his slashing style got him to the line all night.
Frank also enjoyed sharing the court with his brother, Justin, strengthening the family feel to the team.
