In addition to cheering on the Bison on game days, the OBU spirit squads have quickly developed a reputation as one of the nations's premier collegiate programs. In just its seventh year of competition, OBU currently competes in the NCA Division II All Girl Advanced, All Girl Intermediate, and Dance, as well as Division II STUNT.

In April of 2024, the STUNT team won its first Division II National Championship after finishing as runner-ups the previous three seasons. Plus, the Dance squad won its first NCA National Title in Daytona Beach, Fla., during the same month.  

In the spring of 2019, the advanced team won the Division II All Girl Advanced national title for the first time in school history, with the Intermediate NCA team also claiming the program's first championship. The Advanced team repeated in 2021, winning a second straight national title.
