One of the nation's most successful and well-known small college athletics programs, Oklahoma Baptist cemented its status as an elite institution with three straight Learfield Athletics Directors Cups from 2013-15 as a member of the NAIA. Now, the Bison are setting their sights on an even bigger stage, NCAA Division II.

Effective Sept. 1, 2017, OBU received full membership status in Division II and the Great American Conference. One of the country's leading regional leagues, the GAC is comprised of some of the most recognizable public and private universities in Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Since resurrecting its football program in 2013, OBU has posted a sellout in every home game played at Crain Family Stadium at the Hurt Athletics Complex with an average home crowd of approximately 3,000 spectators.

With two national championships to its credit, the OBU basketball program continues to be a hot ticket on Bison Hill. The recently-renovated 2,200 seat Noble Complex is one of the great basketball venues in the state, also hosting the annual Faith 7 high school all-star game, NJCAA Region II Tournament, and Bison Invitational high school tournament in addition to Bison hoops and Bison volleyball.

The Bison Radio Network carries all OBU football games, home and away, live on partner stations in the Shawnee/Seminole, Norman, and Oklahoma City metro areas. Classic HIts KGFF 1450 AM and 100.9 FM is the home for Bison men's and women's basketball games. Both football and basketball broadcasts are also available across the nation and around the world via OBU Athletics webcast on OBUBison.com. Live video and/or audio streams of most OBU home events, including football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball and more, are available at bisonsportsnetwork.com.
