A 6-4 guard from Oklahoma City’s Northeast High School, Ralph “Skip” Masters II launched his OBU basketball career by scoring 18.4 points a game as a freshman and went on to score 1,747 career points—the fourth highest total in the OBU record book.

In his next three seasons, he averaged 10.9, 13.9, and 13.1 for a career 14.1 average. He also pulled down 638 rebounds over for seasons for a 5.1 average. He was a career 80.3 percent free throw shooter and he led his team in scoring in 1980 and 1981.

He was first team All-Texoma Conference in 1978; first team All-Sooner Athletic Conference in 1980; and second team All-SAC in 1979 and 1981.

Masters is fourth in career free throws made (507) and free throws attempted (631).
