Matt Page’s numbers speak for themselves: his 78 runs scored in 2014 were tied for second-most all-time. During the 2013 campaign, he notched 85 runs batted in, another mark that’s second-most. As a senior in 2014, Page’s 26 two-baggers tied him for fourth all-time in single season history while his 59 walks ranked tied for second.
By the end of his career, Page left with 169 RBI, tied for third all-time, and 46 doubles. That latter total ranks second in OBU history. Plus, he ranks in the top-ten with 26 homers.
On top of those numbers, he was a two-time Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Year, the 2013 NAIA Player of the Year, and a two-time NAIA All-American. Furthermore, he was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 10th round of the 2014 MLB Draft and played four years in the minors.
A product of Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, Calif., Page now lives in Redwood City, Calif., with his wife and two children.
