SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist women's basketball coach
Bo Overton has announced the signings of seven student-athletes who will make their way to Bison Hill this fall.
Overton and his coaching staff have signed seven players in Jill Leslie, Sierra Copeland, Chloe Poole, Kendall Parker, and Kennedy Large, as well as transfers Payton Taylor and Mallory Lockhart. OBU signed four guards in the class while adding three forwards. Five of the signees come from Texas while the other two come from Oklahoma.
Leslie is a 6-2 forward that comes to OBU from Wichita Falls, Texas, where she played at Rider High School, while Copeland is a 6-3 forward out of Howe High School in Howe, Texas. Large is another forward that comes to Bison Hill, standing at 6-0 out of Byng High School in Ada.
Poole is a 5-9 guard from Ponder High School in Texas, while Parker is a 5-8 guard out of Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, Texas.
Taylor and Lockhart join the Bison from Oklahoma City University where they were vital pieces to the Stars. Taylor is a 6-0 guard originally from Ada, while Lockhart is a 5-8 guard originally from Keller, Texas.
