Getman Named All-GAC First Team

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist senior Jaedyn Getman closed her final year in style by being named to the All-Great American Conference First Team on Wednesday.

For the 6-foot-2 forward, she's now a four-time All-GAC honoree, the only player in OBU's D2 era to achieve four all-conference certificates.

In the classroom, junior Aubrey Marjason was named a GAC Elite Scholar Athlete.

Over the course of the team's 28-game season, Getman solidified herself as one of the best players in the league. Her 19.9 scoring average was second in the GAC, and her 8.6 rebounding average was slotted third. Plus, her 12 double-doubles were tied for the GAC lead and slotted 21st in Division II.

The Stratford, Okla., native also finished eighth in the GAC in field goal percentage (46.8) and 12th in free throw percentage (81.3).

During the season, Getman had the third-highest scoring output in school history when she poured in 45 against Northeastern State and she finished with 25 games with at least 10 points scored.

Historically speaking, Getman finished her career sixth in OBU history with 1,696 points and seventh with 698 career rebounds. Twice in her career she scored at least 500 points in a season and her 84.1 career free throw percentage stands as third-best mark in program history. Furthermore, her 19.9 scoring average this season is the fifth-highest.
