SHAWNEE, OK - Oklahoma Baptist closed its season in dramatic fashion on Senior Night, edging East Central 67–66 inside a packed Noble Complex crowd of 618. The game featured 10 ties and 13 lead changes, with the Bison delivering one final clutch moment to finish the season at 14–14 (10–12 GAC).
Jaedyn Getman once again powered OBU, scoring 21 points on 8-for-17 shooting, including a perfect 4-for-4 at the line, and grabbing six rebounds. Her final bucket—an elevated jumper in the lane with six seconds remaining—proved to be the game-winner.
OBU opened strong with a 21-point first quarter, hitting 66.7 percent from the field in the opening frame.
Brenna Butler ignited the Bison from deep, scoring 13 points and going 3-for-4 from three, while
Sydney Duncan added eight points, including a pair of big threes that steadied OBU during ECU's second-half runs. The Bison shot an impressive 50 percent from three (10–20) on the night.
The teams traded runs throughout the second half, with ECU's Katie Edelen countering nearly every OBU punch on her way to a 20-point performance. With under 20 seconds left, ECU's Natalie Milwood buried a three to give the Tigers a 66–65 lead. OBU called timeout, advanced the ball, and executed flawlessly out of the break—Getman slipping into the paint and sinking the go-ahead jumper with :06 on the clock. The Bison defense forced a contested miss at the buzzer to secure the victory.
Jordyn Anderson provided five points, four rebounds, and three assists, while
Katelyn Davis delivered another well-rounded performance with eight points, four boards, one assist, and strong defensive minutes.
Parker Stevenson also supplied seven points off the bench. The Bison bench combined for 28 points, a key factor in the season-ending win.
OBU finished the night shooting 47.9 percent from the field, while holding ECU to 45 percent. The Bison generated 13 fast-break points and capitalized on timely shot-making late to punctuate the year with a win on home hardwood.
