Shulanberger Joins Lady Bison Basketball

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist added 5-9 junior guard Mikayla Shulanberger to its 2018-19 women's basketball roster, it was announced Wednesday.
 
16193Shulanberger earned All-Region honors at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M while averaging 13 points and three assists per game.
 
Shulanberger was All-State at Skiatook High School in basketball, softball and track. She was Offensive Player of the Year in 2015 and Defensive Player of the Year in 2016 and was her school's all-time leading scorer in basketball, regardless of gender. She also holds the school records in the 200 and 400 in track and won the State Meet in the 400 in 2016.
 
The daughter of Mica and Milt Pattillo and Mike Shulanberger, Mikayla attends Life Church and volunteers at Neighbors in Need.
 
She was recruited by Central Oklahoma, Missouri Southern, Washburn, Texas A&M-Commerce, Southern Nazarene, Oklahoma Wesleyan and Missouri Western.
 
"I loved the campus and the coaching staff and I wanted to stay close to my family, Shulanberger said. "OBU was the perfect fit for me and somewhere I felt like I could make an impact on the women's basketball program and get a great education.
