HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – (
Round One Results) The Oklahoma Baptist men's golf team wrapped up the opening round of the Great American Conference Championship Sunday at Hot Springs Country Club.
Since the Bison are unable to compete for the team title due to the provisional status of OBU in the conference, all five players are competing as individuals. Had they been able to compete as a team, they would currently be tied for fourth place with Southwestern Oklahoma State with a seven-over par 295.
Kyle Perdew, entering his final collegiate tournament, did not disappoint as he is currently sitting in second place after carding a two-under par 70 for round one.
Hudson Hoover is tied for 14
th place as he shot a two-over par 74 in the first round, while
Mason Nutt is T19 with a three-over par 75.
Dalton Rhoden, who is coming off his first collegiate win at the OBU Spring Invite, carded a four-over par 76 to finish in a tie for 22
nd place.
Lucas Coapman, who only played one round at the OBU Spring Invite due to injury, was able to compete today and finished with an eight-over par 80 to tie for 39
th place.
The Bison will tee off in the second round of the tournament tomorrow morning, and will wrap up play with the final round Tuesday. Complete round two tee times available
