MUSKOGEE, Okla. – Payton Posada shot a 75 (+4) on Tuesday afternoon for a three-round score of 212 (-1) to place 11th at the 22nd Annual NSU Golf Classic at the Muskogee Golf Club.
As a team, the Bison shot an impressive 294 (+10) on the day for a total score of 882 (+30) to place 12th at the event.
Posada had one birdie on the day, but finished the tournament the best among the field in Par 4 scoring at -3. He finished with 10 birdies in the event as well as 35 pars.
Despite the great weekend from Posada,
Dakota Clark was one of the standouts of the third round, shooting a 70 (-1) on the afternoon including four birdies to lead the Bison. Clark finished with a three-round score of 221 (+8).
Martin Gutierrez de Mesa shot a 74 (+3) including three birdies for a three-round score of 226 (+13) while
Keaton Dickens carded a 75 (+4) with two birdies and a total score of 227 (+14).
Cole Dibler rounded out the scorers with an 80 (+9) including one birdie and a three-round score of 230 (+17).
Central Missouri won the event with a three-round score of 847 (-5) while Henderson State was second at 851 (-1). Rogers State was third on the day at 852 (E) followed by Southern Arkansas at 853 (+1) and Washburn at 858 (+6) to round out the top five.
The Bison will return to action on Monday as they travel to the Hot Springs Country Club for the Great American Conference Championships.
