MUSKOGEE, Okla. – After a month-long hiatus, the Oklahoma Baptist men's golf team returned to action at the 22
nd Annual Northeastern State Men's Golf Classic. The Bison were scheduled to complete the first two rounds of the tournament on Monday, April 12, but after a small weather delay it was decided that the final two to four holes of the second round would be delayed to Tuesday morning. OBU currently stands in a tie for ninth having shot a 545 (+14) over the nearly completed first two rounds.
Senior
Payton Posada had an incredible opening round, carding a 65 (-6). He birdied holes 1, 2, 3, 7, 11, 14, and 15. He currently stands 1-over-par with two holes remaining on his second 18 and sits second overall with a cumulative score of 5-under, just one stroke behind Kade Johnson of Southern Arkansas.
Posada was first on the day in par 4 scoring with six of his seven birdies coming on par 4s.
Other finishes for the Bison include

Dakota Clark (+7), Martin Gutierrez De Mesa (+9), and
Keaton Dickens (+9).
Central Missouri currently leads the field, finishing the first day of action with a total of 279 (-12). Henderson Sate (-5) and Rogers State (-4) sit in second and third, respectively.
The Bison will conclude round two beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, with round three to follow shortly after.
