OLD HICKORY, Tenn. – The Oklahoma Baptist men's golf team wrapped up Tuesday's final round of the Music City Invitational in 12
th place. The Bison nearly matched their round one total, shooting a combined 299 (+11) on their final 18 at Hermitage Golf Course General's Retreat. OBU finished with a two-day score of 597 (+21).
Senior
Payton Posada turned in a top-20 individual finish, posting an even-par 72 Tuesday to place in a tie for 18
th with a two-day total of 146 (+2).
Posada was followed closely by classmate
Dakota Clark, who finished in a tie for 25
th after rounds of 74 (+2) and 73 (+1).
Keaton Dickens and
Cole Dibler fired matching scores of 5-over-par 77 to round out the team scoring for the Bison on Tuesday.
Martin Gutierrez de Mesa shot a final round 78 (+6).
Host Trevecca Nazarene took the team title with a two-day total of 569 (-7) after a 9-under-par team showing on the final 18.
Ashland's Beau Bayerl (9-under-par) took the tournament's individual crown by one shot over Trevecca's Blain Turner.
The Bison will play one more regular season event before preparing for the 2021 Great American Conference Championship beginning April 18 at Hot Springs Country Club. OBU will tune up for the conference tournament at the NSU Men's Golf Classic hosted by Northeastern State at Muskogee Country Club, April 12-13.
