Lady Bison Basketball Signs Charissa Price

SHAWNEE – Carl Albert High School senior Charissa Price has signed with Oklahoma Baptist women's basketball.

The 5-10 shooting guard from Oklahoma City was an OGBCA All-State selection, a two-time All-Suburban Conference player, a Titan Classic All-Tournament Team selection, and she made two State Tournament appearances under head coach Kyle Richey. Price has also been named the Carl Albert Defensive Player of the Year, won two conference championships, and holds the record for most three-pointers in a State Tournament game with eight.

Though she was also recruited by Central Oklahoma, Oral Roberts, Mid-America Christian, and Redlands, Price chose OBU because she felt "it was the best 'fit' for me. The players are quality and genuine and welcomed me," said Price. "Relationships with [the team] and coaching staff was the deciding factor."

The daughter of Jay and Deena Price, Charissa was the class valedictorian, an academic letter jacket recipient, a four-year member of the 4.0 Club, and a National Honor Society member.
