JOPLIN, Mo. – The Oklahoma Baptist women's cross country team finished in 17th place during the NCAA D2 Central Regional Championship on Saturday.
Freshman
Adelaide Murphy was OBU's top finisher. The New London, Texas native's 6K time of 22:35.81 placed her in 66th.
Eleven spots later was sophomore
Kieran Paxton. She registered a personal-best time of 22:45.35 (77th).
OBU's three other point scorers were
Shayna Hendrix (122nd; 23:28.65),
Emma York (126th; 23:33.57) and
Trista Etheridge (138th; 23:49.88).
Winona State was the top team on Saturday while Pittsburg State and Nebraska-Kearney finished in second and third, respectively.
