Bison Women Voted Fifth in GAC Coaches Poll

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Oklahoma Baptist women's basketball team was picked fifth in the Great American Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll released on Wednesday.

A season ago, the Bison finished with a 20-9 record and earned the No. 3 seed in the GAC Tournament after the regular season. It was the first time in a decade that the program attained 20 victories.

In this year's poll, defending champion Harding and Southern Nazarene were tied at the top with 111 votes while HU had more first-place votes (5-4) over the Crimson Storm.  Southwestern Oklahoma State was slotted third while Southeastern Oklahoma State checked in at four.
