SHAWNEE -- Oklahoma Baptist women's basketball is gearing up for a demanding 2025-26 campaign, highlighted by a mix of regional rivalries, long road trips and key Great American Conference matchups.
"This year's schedule will do a good job of preparing us for the Great American Conference," sixth-year Head Coach
Bo Overton said.
"We will play teams that are similar to the team we will play within the GAC. I think we will be able to learn a lot from our new players in the preseason, which will then prepare them for league play."
The Bison open the season at home on November 3 against Mid-America Christian, giving fans an early look at a roster featuring both seasoned returners and new additions. OBU then hits the road to Weatherford for a pair of non-conference tests against Northeastern State on November 14 and Rogers State on November 15 on
before returning to the Noble Complex on November 18 to host Eastern New Mexico.Â
Thanksgiving week brings a swing through Texas, beginning with UT Dallas on November 22Â and continuing in San Antonio for matchups against Texas A&M-Kingsville (November 28) and St. Mary's (November 29).Â
Conference play begins in December, as OBU hosts Arkansas-Monticello and Southern Arkansas on Dec. 4 and 6, respectively. The Bison then welcome Southwestern Oklahoma State on December
11 before a home date with Southeastern
(12/13) and a trip to East
Central on December 18 to close out the calendar year.
The grind resumes after the Christmas break with a home game against Northwestern Oklahoma State on January
3, followed by matchups with Arkansas Tech (1/8) and Harding (1/10). A two-game road trip to Ouachita (1/15) and Henderson State (1/17) tests OBU early in conference play.
The Bison return to Shawnee for key home contests against Southern Nazarene and Southwestern on Jan. 22 and 24, respectively, before closing the month of January against Southern Arkansas (1/29) and Arkansas-Monticello (1/31).
In February action, OBU travels to Harding on Feb. 5 before a Feb. 7 date at Arkansas Tech. That will be followed up with two more road games against SNU (2/12) and Southeastern (2/14). OBU will close out its regular season between Feb. 19 and Feb. 28 with home contests versus Henderson State, Ouachita and East Central as well as one road game at Northwestern.
