RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist recorded its highest finish in the Great American Conference All-Sports Standings that were released on Tuesday by league officials.
With 94 points, the Bison finished in second place behind Harding (106.5). Arkansas Tech rounded out the top three (80).
All-Sports points are earned based on each school's finish in sports that six or more schools sponsor within the conference. The regular season standings determine the points awarded for sports with a round-robin schedule, while conference championships determine the points in sports without a regular season format.
During the 2021-22 athletic cycle, women's soccer, women's cross country and women's track and field claimed conference titles for OBU. Additionally, volleyball earned the league's regular-season championship while men's cross country and track and field earned second-place finishes in its respective championships. Plus, the football and softball programs enjoyed their best finishes since the start of OBU's Division II era.
