OBU Athletics Puts Forward Strong Fall Academic Performance

SHAWNEE – During the fall 2025 semester, the Oklahoma Baptist University Athletics teams turned in an outstanding effort in the classroom.

The overall department grade point average was 3.273.

Fifteen of the 16 teams delivered a GPA of at least 3.00. The top men's team GPA came from cross country (3.346) while the softball program delivered a 3.702 GPA.

"Our programs did a wonderful job hitting the books this past fall," Director of Athletics Robert Davenport said. "I'm very proud of the commitment from our men and women to excel in the classroom."
