RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Mary McKey has been named the Great American Conference women's Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
McKey is the first Bison track athlete, male or female, to garner the award this outdoor season.
The sophomore earns the honor fresh off of her 400m hurdles win at the Sooner Invitational and Multis last weekend.
McKey posted the first NCAA Division II provisional time for OBU's women this season, winning the event in 1:00.41. The mark is the seventh-fastest time in Division II this season and a personal best for McKey.
At the same meet, she charted another PR with a 14.29 finish in the 100m hurdles.
The Edmond, Okla., native has claimed top honors three other times in the 2022 outdoor season, including a first-place finish with the 4x4 relay team at the North Texas Classic on April 9.
Individually, Mckey won the 400m and 100m hurdles at the OBU Invite in times of 1:01.95 and 14.81.
