TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts Club announced the signing of former Oklahoma Baptist offensive lineman Jake Foshee on Tuesday, April 12.
Foshee is the first Bison football player to sign a professional contract in program history.
A native of Fairbanks, Alaska, Foshee closed his career by receiving multiple accolades in 2021, including First Team All-GAC honors, D2CCA All-Super Region Second-Team honors, and a Don Hansen All-America Team-Honorable Mention nod.
Foshee allowed three sacks his entire career while leading an offensive line that surrendered the third-least amount of sacks in 2021. Additionally, he scored the only touchdown of his career against Southern Nazarene this season, catching a six-yard pass in the 42-14 victory.
Prior to this season, Foshee earned a Second-Team All-GAC selection in 2019.
"It means the world to me," Foshee said. "OBU was my only offer out of high school, so coming to Shawnee gave me an opportunity of a lifetime."
The Argonauts open the 2022 Canadian Football League Season on May 27 in a preseason game against the Ottawa Redblacks.
