Crimson Storm Roll Past Bison in Season Finale

BETHANY – Oklahoma Baptist closed out its 2025 campaign on Saturday with a 49-19 setback at Southern Nazarene in Great American Conference play.
Despite a strong finish in the fourth quarter, the Bison couldn't overcome SNU's dominant rushing attack, which piled up 431 yards and six touchdowns.

OBU (2-9) struck first with a 42-yard field goal from Carter Lowry midway through the opening quarter, but the Crimson Storm (2-9) answered quickly and never looked back. SNU's Bryson Evans broke free for a 72-yard touchdown run moments later, sparking a 14-point first quarter. Evans finished with 89 yards and two scores, while Cameron Anderson added 78 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bison trailed 21-6 at halftime after Lowry drilled his second field goal late in the second quarter. Southern Nazarene extended its lead with three third-quarter touchdowns, including a short scoring run by Carson Hendrix and a three-yard TD pass from Jaxon Worley to Cody Conaway.

OBU showed fight in the final period, finding the end zone twice. Chad Mascoe connected with Gabe Barres on a 19-yard strike and later hit Nick Harris for a 44-yard touchdown. Mascoe finished 23-of-35 for 247 yards and two scores but was under heavy pressure, taking seven sacks. Harris led the receiving corps with 61 yards, while Matthew Young added 66 yards on five catches.

On the ground, Deuce Wise paced the Bison with 98 yards on 23 carries, and Edric Lambert chipped in 84 yards, including a 43-yard burst. OBU outgained SNU in first downs (24-19) and held a slight edge in time of possession but couldn't slow the Crimson Storm's ground game.

Defensively, Caleb Giles led OBU with nine tackles, and Brady Luff added eight stops. Lowry capped his season with two made field goals, finishing a perfect 2-for-2 on the day. Carter finished the season with 12 made field goals, a program record.

The Bison conclude the year at 2-9 overall.
