Jensen, Bison Release 2026 Schedule

SHAWNEE – The 2026 Oklahoma Baptist football season is just 87 days away and 13th-year head coach Chris Jensen has unveiled his 11-game schedule.

"The coaches and the players have been working extremely hard in anticipation of the 2026 season," Jensen said.

"We are excited about the challenge of playing in such a competitive conference and are looking forward to our first game against Southern Arkansas. Bison Hill is a special place to be, and we are blessed to open this year in front of our home crowd."

Beginning on Thursday Sept. 3, the green and gold host Southern Arkansas at Crain Family Stadium at the Hurt Complex. The season-opening contest kicks off at 7 p.m.

A little more than a week later, OBU heads to Henderson State in Arkadelphia. That Sept. 12 visit against the Reddies is slated for a 6 p.m. start. The Bison will remain on the road a week later, venturing to Alva to face Northwestern Oklahoma State on Sept. 19 at 6 p.m.

The September slate ends on the 26th with the Bison's second home contest. This one is against Southwestern Oklahoma State, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. in Shawnee.

There will be five games in October. During The Weekend, the Bison host Ouachita on Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. A week later (Oct. 10), the green and gold make the drive to Arkansas-Monticello for another 2 p.m. kickoff, this time versus the Boll Weevils. There will be a quick turnaround after that. On Thursday Oct. 15, OBU hosts East Central at 7 p.m.

Over the final two weeks of October, the Bison go to Durant to face Southeastern Oklahoma State (Oct. 24; 2 p.m.) and host Harding on Oct. 31 at 2 p.m.

The season will close over two weeks in November. On the 7th, the Bison visit Arkansas Tech for a 2 p.m. kickoff before a Nov. 14 finale at home versus Southern Nazarene at 2 p.m.
