SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist football game days will feel a little different this year with changes to the student section and pep band areas.
This season, 214 students will be able to sit on the west side, behind the OBU football team bench, in Section 3, rows 1-10, with the Bison Brigade behind them. With this change, OBU Athletics is implementing a new game day feature called the "Stampede." Students sitting in Sec. 3 will have the opportunity to run across the field before the football team. These changes are being implemented to enhance the game day atmosphere and provide students more opportunities for involvement on game days.
Beginning next Tuesday, Sept. 7, student tickets for Saturday's home opener will be given out at the Geiger Center 101 front desk.
Any student that wants to sit on the west side of the stadium in Sec. 3 must have a ticket. This ticket will also be used as access to the field pre-game for the "Stampede."
Students will still need a student ID to enter the game, as well as to claim tickets in the GC.
Student ticket pickup will be the week of home games until all of the tickets are gone at the GC 101 front desk.
Any student that doesn't get a ticket can still use their ID to enter games for free and sit on the east side bleachers.
