Bison Open in 17th at Natural State Classic

CABOT, Ark. – After 384 long days the Oklahoma Baptist men's golf team took the course as the Bison opened their 2021 campaign at the Natural State Classic hosted by Harding. After one round OBU stands 17th with a team score of 338 (+50). Great American Conference foe Arkansas Tech is currently in the lead, finishing with a 288 (E) on the first day of competition at Greystone Country Club.

Payton Posada was the top finisher for OBU with an opening 82 (+10), putting him in a tie for 51st in the individual standings. Other finishes for the Bison included Dakota Clark (+12), Keaton Dickens (+13), Martin Gutierrez (+15), and Cole Dibler (+17).  

Henderson State's Mitchell Ford currently leads the field after a 69 (-3) in round one. Henry Frizzell of Arkansas Tech and Caleb Kimmel of UCO are just behind Ford at 2-under-par.

OBU will conclude the tournament on Tuesday, March 2, with group one teeing off at 9 a.m.
