SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist University Athletics and the team at Athlete Network are excited to announce a partnership with the goal of engaging all current and former Bison athletes with available services and resources. The partnership will launch a branded digital platform to impact athlete outcomes through engagement.
Â
"Our letterwinners laid the foundation of competitive excellence here at OBU and we're proud to be able to connect them with their alma mater in a new and exciting way," said OBU Director of Athletics
Robert Davenport. "One of the special things about Bison Hill is the deep and lasting relationships formed here, and this platform will provide our alumni an opportunity to connect and engage with one another, as well as with the university, in a unique and meaningful way."
Â
Competing at the NCAA Division II level, OBU leads the Great American Conference as the first to prioritize engaging and communicating with their athletes through software. By virtually centralizing their programs and services, OBU will efficiently expand their reach to a greater number of current and former student-athletes and provide space for them to engage and support each other.
Â
"Fostering better engagement with our alumni is one of our chief objectives over the next year," said
Brian Dude, Senior Associate A.D. for External Operations. "This partnership is a reflection of that commitment, and we hope that all of our current and former student-athletes will take full advantage of the opportunity to connect and share the unique experiences and bonds created here at OBU."
Â
In addition to expanding communication, the network will also immediately provide innovative data insights and reporting to athletic administrators, expand career resources, and cultivate deeper relationships among all generations of Bison athletes.
Â
"OBU values keeping their athletes involved and engaged and is committed to advancing their support and communication in innovative ways through our software, said Chris Smith, CEO of Athlete Network. "Athletic administrators and coaches will not only be able to save time and offer all resources in one convenient network, but use data analytics to track the utilization of those resources ensuring a beneficial relationship is maintained with their athletes for life."

OBU's Athlete Network site will officially launch later this year. To learn more about the Athlete Network, visit
