SHAWNEE – Rounding out her senior year on Bison Hill, Oklahoma Baptist's
Kim Moosbacher has claimed All-American status once again from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. This marks back-to-back All-American honors for the senior from Cologne, Germany.
Moosbacher entered her senior year as the nation's No. 9 ranked singles player. Despite a shortened final campaign, she still saw one of her best seasons as a Bison, taking four tournament titles, concluding with the ITA Regional championship.
She entered 2020 much the same way she left 2019 as she saw a 9-1 singles record at No. 1, while also carrying her own in doubles with partner
Ethne Dowling, going 7-3 at No. 1. Moosbacher's dominant streak down the stretch included winning eight straight singles matches – her final five wins coming in straight sets – and five of her last six doubles matches.
"Being a part of Kim's journey the past year and a half has been a blessing," said OBU assistant coach
Madeline Schorlemmer. "Being named an All-American for the second year in a row is a great accomplishment and it couldn't be more deserved. She's paved the way for greatness and has left large shoes to fill."
