Madeline Schorlemmer joined the OBU tennis staff prior to the 2018-19 season as assistant coach.
She played four years at Midwestern State, graduating in 2016 with a record of 113-40. Those 113 wins place her sixth on the all-time win list. She achieved a ranking of 33 in ITA national singles and was the ITA South Central Region Senior Player of the Year in 2016.
Schorlemmer was first-team All-Lone Star Conference her final two years after an honorable mention recognition her freshman season. She was LSC Sportsmanship Player of the Year in 2016. She was a four-time LSC Player of the Week.
She also starred in the classroom with CoSIDA Academic All-District honors in 2016, ITA Scholar-Athlete honors three seasons, LSC Scholar-Athlete in 2016, and two LSC All-Academic teams.
After getting her BA in psychology at MSU, Schorlemmer received a master’s degree in kinesiology from Georgia Southern University in 2018.
Schorlemmer, who hails from Argyle, Texas, enjoys cooking, running and spending time with family and friends.
