Jenna Noel and
Lin Xin Tan of the Oklahoma Baptist women's tennis team each earned a spot on the 2021 All-GAC Team by vote of the coaches on Thursday afternoon.
Both Noel and Tan earned spots on the second team after leading the Bison throughout the year as partners at No. 1 doubles, as well as No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.
The duo only played half the season as doubles partners, but picked up four wins at the No. 1 court throughout the year.
Noel, a sophomore from Oklahoma City, led the team in wins in singles play as she put together an 11-10 record, mostly at No. 2 singles. At one point throughout March, Noel won seven of her eight singles matches to lead the Bison.
Tan, a freshman from Sarawak, Malaysia, played No. 1 singles throughout the season and took on opponents' best singles players. Tan picked up seven wins on the season, including two of her last three.
OBU's season concluded on Monday with an emotion 4-3 come-from-behind victory over Southwestern College (Kan.).
