EDMOND, Okla. – For the fifth-straight season, No. 17-ranked Oklahoma Baptist women's cross country has staked their claim at the University of Central Oklahoma Land Run.
Despite strong regional competition in No. 18 Pittsburg State and East Central, the Bison claimed the top team score with 44 points. Four of OBU's top five runners finished in the top 10, and all scoring runners finished in the top 20.
Tesa Potter was the Bison's top finisher, finishing in third place with a time of 19:11.24.
Allison Derry,
Emma Downing and Jana Le Roux finished in sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively. Derry clocked in at 19:22.68, Downing at 19:30.13, and Le Roux at 19:31.03.
Kayla McGruder was OBU's final scoring runner, finishing in 20th with a time of 20:18.17.
Berkley Price finished as a displacer for OBU after crossing the line in 20:21.20, good for 21st place.
Alexzandria Jaimz was OBU's other displacer after finishing the five-kilometer course 32nd overall in a time of 20:47.17.
