SHAWNEE - The Oklahoma Baptist men's golf team was selected to finish eighth in the Great American Conference this upcoming season as voted on by the GAC coaches on Tuesday afternoon.
OBU will open their season in two weeks at the Lake Hefner North Golf Club for the GAC Preview.
Last season, Arkansas Tech won their second GAC Championship title and qualified for NCAA Championships for the third-straight year as they were selected to win their third consecutive title, earning nine of the 10 first place votes. Henderson State placed second in the poll, one point ahead of Southern Arkansas, while the Muleriders earned the remaining first place vote. All three squads were selected to the NCAA Postseason in the spring.

Southwestern Oklahoma State took fourth in the balloting while Harding took fifth, narrowly ahead of Southeastern Oklahoma State and Southern Nazarene.Â

Following the Bison in eighth was Arkansas-Monticello and Northwestern Oklahoma State to round out the poll.
