Lawrence Earns First GAC Honor of 2018

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist's Sydney Lawrence earned the initial Great American Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award for 2018, the league announced Wednesday.
 
Lawrence won the UCO Land Run on the course that will serve as the venue for the 2018 GAC Championships. She finished in a time of 18:33.7. The Lady Bison won the event with a score of 21 points as they placed six runners inside the top nine. The eight-team field featured GAC schools East Central, Harding, Southern Arkansas and Arkansas Tech.
