Bison 14th After First Round in Hot Springs

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist is 14^th among 17 teams at the Battle of the Belt after Sunday's first round at Hot Springs Country Club.
 
OBU opened with a round of 300 and trails front-running Maryville by 21 strokes.
 
Davis Farnell shot 70 and sits in a fifth-place tie among individuals, five strokes off the pace of leader Tyler Uhlig of Texas-Tyler.
 
Dakota Clark is tied for 49^th at 75, followed by Payton Posada at 77 (69^th), Hudson Hoover at 78 (tied for 74^th) and Dawson Jones at 88 (100^th).
 
Great American Conference teams include Southern Arkansas (287) in second, Southwestern Oklahoma State and Arkansas Tech in fifth (290), Henderson State in seventh (292), Harding in eighth (294), Southern Nazarene in ninth (295) and Northwestern Oklahoma State in 17^th (308).
