Wendl Earns GAC Recognition

SHAWNEE – The Great American Conference named Oklahoma Baptist's Luke Wendl its Special Teams Football Player of the Week.
 
Wendl, a redshirt sophomore from Plano, Texas, connected on field goals of 41 and 24 yards and made all three of his extra-point kicks in OBU's 27-26 win at East Central last week.
 
His 41-yard field goal is the second 40-plus field goal of his career. He knocked home a 47-yard attempt last season.
