SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist women's cross country team will compete at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas, this Saturday.

OBU moved up in this week's national rankings to No. 16, up from No. 19 after an idle week.

The Lady Bison have had a two week break to train hard for this meet, one of the more competitive meets this season.

There will be 37 women's teams competing in the 5k at the Chile Pepper Festival. Oklahoma Baptist placed third in the last meet with 33 competitors, the First to the Finish Southern Stampede.

The field also includes nationally ranked schools No. 12 Dallas Baptist and No. 21 Colorado Mines, and Great American Conference foes Arkansas Tech, East Central, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Ouachita Baptist, Southern Arkansas and Southwestern Oklahoma State.

The Lady Bison will race the 5k at 10:20 a.m. in Agri Park, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
