SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist is now ranked second in the region for women's cross country, during the school's first season of NCAA membership.
Â
In just one week the Lady Bison went from unranked to number two in the Central Region, just behind the University of Mary in North Dakota. The strong team finish at the First to the Finish Southern Stampede last week propelled Oklahoma Baptist into this position.
Â
OBU is the lone Great American Conference squad in the Central Region Top 10. The ranking is a product of the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association.

The Lady Bison return to action Sept. 30 at the University of Arkansas' Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark.
