Tournament Notes | Live Results

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist concludes the spring campaign as they head to Hot Springs, Arkansas, to compete in the Great American Conference Men's Golf Championship at Hot Springs Country Club from Sunday through Tuesday.

Due to Oklahoma Baptist's provisional status in the conference, the Bison will not be allowed to compete for the conference championship as a team and will each enter the tournament as individuals. Play for all three rounds will be on the par-72 Arlington Course, which plays at 6990 yards from the gold tees.

The Bison look to build on the momentum set two weeks ago as they finished first in their home tournament, the OBU Spring Invite, after shooting a 32-over par 600 (301, 299), defeating second place Rocky Mountain College by nine strokes.

For senior Kyle Perdew, this will be the final tournament of his collegiate career. "OBU golf has been a huge growing experience for me," said Perdew. "I feel blessed to have been a part of this team and I'm very grateful I was given this opportunity."

Two weeks ago at Shawnee Country Club, Perdew carded a four-over par 146 (73, 73) and finished in a tie for third place. It was his third top-five finish of the year.

"[Kyle] has been a huge part of why this team has grown and improved over the past few months. He is a one-in-a-million player, but more importantly he is a one-in-a-million person," said OBU Coach Drew Posada. "I am very proud of him and it has been a true honor to have coached him this past season."

Dalton Rhoden looks to continue his stellar play as he rounded out the OBU Spring Invite with a three-under par 139 (73, 66) and took the individual crown for his first collegiate win.

Hudson Hoover finished out his two rounds at the OBU Spring Invite with an eight-over par 150 (76, 74), while Mason Nutt shot a 23-over par 165 (79, 86). Hoover finished in a tie for eighth place, the fourth time this year he has posted a top-10 finish.

Lucas Coapman was unable to complete his two rounds as he withdrew before day two with an injury. He shot a 12-over par 83 for round one.

The Bison will tee off on Sunday and complete their run at the GAC Championship on Tuesday.

"I'm very excited to see how the guys play this week. They have gotten better and better as the year has gone on and I think that they will play well this week," said Posada.
