Round One Results) Oklahoma Baptist men's golf wrapped up day one of the OBU Spring Invite atop the leaderboard Monday at Shawnee Country Club.

After the first round, OBU has a one-stroke lead over Rocky Mountain College after a 17-over par 301.

"I thought we played well today because the conditions were tough," said Bison head coach
Drew Posada. "We will need to play better and be tough mentally tomorrow like we were today to be able to go out and win."

Senior
Kyle Perdew continues to lead his squad, shooting a two-over par 73 today and placing him in a tie for first individually with teammate
Dalton Rhoden. Rhoden also carded a 73 for round one. Perdew will be in the final group Tuesday and will tee off at 10 a.m. while Rhoden will tee off at 9:50 a.m.

Hudson Hoover is T11 after he finished with a five-over par 76, while
Mason Nutt finished with an eight-over par 79 to tie for 16
th place. Hoover will tee off Tuesday morning at 9:40 a.m. and Nutt will tee off at 9:30 a.m.

Lucas Coapman finished his round with a 12-over par 83 for T28, and will tee off at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday.

"The conditions will be easier tomorrow so our guys know that we will have to go lower tomorrow," said Posada.

OBU also had three individuals competing in the host tournament.
Ryan Epperly tied for 26
th place after carding an 11-over par 82 and will tee off at 9 a.m. The other two individuals will be grouped together for the final round as
Luke Garner shot a 13-over 84 to tie for 31
st place and
Shane Black is in 36
th place after carding an 18-over 89. They will both tee off at 8:50 am.
