Hoover Honored by NCCAA

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Oklahoma Baptist sophomore Hudson Hoover has been named the NCCAA Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week after a stellar performance at the TMU Spring Invitational.

He finished the tournament tied for fifth place and led his team to a first place overall finish, defeating Victoria by three strokes at Robinson Ranch in Santa Clarita, California.

Hoover's rounds consisted of a one-over 71, a six-under 64, and then a two-over par 72 to finish the tournament at three-under with a total score of 207 and an average score of one-under 69.

This tournament solidified the third consecutive outing in which Hoover finished with a top-five finish.

Hoover becomes the second Bison golfer to win the award this year, joining Lucas Coapman, who won the award last September.

The Bison are currently competing in the Arbor Hotels Invitational in Lubbock, Texas, where Hoover continues to play well.
