SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist plays five home games in the 2017 football season, including the season opener Sept. 2.

OBU kicks off the full season of Great American Conference action at noon, Sept. 2, with East Central visiting. The Bison claimed an exciting overtime win over ECU in Ada last season.
After the opener, the Bison hit the road for two games, playing at Southeastern Oklahoma State in Durant Sept. 9 and at Arkansas Tech Sept. 16. SOSU has not yet announced the game time, but the Bison will be in Russellville, Arkansas, for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
OBU gets a stern test Sept. 23 when defending Great American Conference champion Harding visits Shawnee with a noon kickoff in OBU's inaugural Hall of Fame Game. OBU will recognize its 2017 Athletics Hall of Fame induction class in a ceremony during the contest.
The Bison finish off September with a road trip to Magnolia, Arkansas, taking on Southern Arkansas.
Back-to-back home dates then await the Bison as they entertain Henderson State Oct. 7 and Arkansas-Monticello Oct. 14. Both games kick off at 1 p.m. The Bison will be looking for their first-ever win against the Reddies in conference before trying to go 2-1 as GAC members against the Weevils.
OBU heads back to Arkansas for the last time, visiting Ouachita Baptist in Arkadelphia Oct. 21.
For the first time, OBU celebrates Homecoming in October as the Bison play Southwestern Oklahoma State in the final home game of the season at 2 p.m., Oct. 28.
The Bison finish out the season with two road games. They play in Alva against Northwestern Oklahoma State Nov. 4 and at Southern Nazarene in Bethany Nov. 11.
