Coming Up on Bison Hill (Feb. 20-26)

SHAWNEE – With spring sports coming into full swing, it's almost time to bid farewell to the winter sports. Here's what's coming up this week on Bison Hill.

Monday: Women's Golf takes to the links for the first time this spring for the St. Edward's Invitational at the Onion Creek Club in Austin, Texas. It is the first tournament for the Lady Bison since a third-place showing at the National Christian College Athletic Association Championship.

Tuesday: Women's Golf concludes competition at the St. Edward's Invitational. Men's and Women's Tennis hold serve against Cameron in Shawnee beginning at 1 p.m. The Lady Bison narrowly edged the Aggies, 5-4, while the Bison will be looking to show better than last season when they fell, 8-1. Baseball heads to Muskogee, Oklahoma, for a 2 p.m. meeting with Bacone. Brad Adams picked up the win in four shutout innings as OBU claimed a decisive 15-0 win over BC in Shawnee last year.

Thursday: Women's Tennis heads to Tahlequah, Oklahoma, for a 1 p.m. match against Northeastern State. Oklahoma Baptist will look to avenge a 6-3 loss suffered in Shawnee last season. Women's Basketball hosts Arkansas-Monticello at 5:30 p.m. inside the Noble Complex. Katy Custer dropped a Division II program record 29 points in an 89-86 loss to the Blossoms in Monticello earlier this season. Men's Basketball provides the nightcap with a 7:30 p.m. meeting with UAM, also in Shawnee. Travon Moore scored a team-best 18 points and seven rebounds, but the Bison fell, 74-54, to the Weevils earlier this year on the road.

Friday: Baseball welcomes Henderson State to Bison Field at Ford Park for a doubleheader in the team's first home Great American Conference contest of the year beginning at 1 p.m. The Bison took the series, 2-1, when they faced off with the Reddies in 2016. Softball hits the road for the first time this season when they open up GAC play against Henderson State with a twin bill in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, at 4 p.m. The Lady Bison claimed one win in the best-of-four series last season. Women's Lacrosse continues their homestand at 6 p.m. with a game against the University of Saint Mary at the OBU Lacrosse Complex. Alexis Martin found the back of the net seven times as the Lady Bison emerged 15-2 winners against the Spires in Shawnee last season.

Saturday: Men's Tennis takes on Division I foe Oral Roberts in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Bison were competitive, but fell, 5-2, to the Golden Eagles last season. Softball wraps up their series at Henderson State with a second doubleheader beginning at noon. Baseball concludes their three-game series with the Reddies in Shawnee with a single game starting at 1 p.m. Women's Basketball hosts their season finale against Southern Arkansas at 1 p.m. from the Noble Complex. A double-double by Tasha Edge powered OBU past the Muleriders, 67-53, in Magnolia earlier this season. Men's Basketball also concludes their season against SAU, with tipoff set for 3 p.m. inside the Noble Complex. Kevin Franceschi racked up 19 points, but the Bison fell to Southern Arkansas, 75-65, on the road in the first game of the series this year.
