SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist finishes off its four-game road swing with a women's basketball game at Southeastern Saturday at 1 p.m.
Â
Southeastern won in Shawnee earlier this season but the Savage Storm has not won a two-game series against the Lady Bison since before they were the Savage Storm - in the 1980-81 season.
Â
Four different Southeastern players reached double figures in the scoring column, led by Rachel Wallace with 17 points, in SOSU's win in the Noble Complex last month. The Savage Storm knocked down 11 three-pointers in 23 attempts with Oliva Potter leading the way at 4 of 8.
Â
Lexi Williams scored 19 to lead the Lady Bison with
Tasha Edge adding 13 and
Katy Custer 11. Williams was 8 of 8 at the free throw line.
Cameerah Graves had five steals and five assists.
Â
Oklahoma Baptist must win the rest of its games to qualify for the NCCAA postseason.
Â
Southeastern comes in at 13-7 overall and 11-5 in the Great American Conference. The Savage Storm has won three in a row - all on the road - and their win against the Bison in January ignited an 8-2 run. Olivia Potter leads SOSU at 13.9 points per game. She has a team-leading 62 three-pointers.
