SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist opens the women's basketball home schedule Thursday with a 5:30 p.m. tip against Arkansas-Monticello.
 
The first 100 students to the game will get a free t-shirt.
 
The teams divided their series last year and come into this game at 1-1 on the season.
 
The Lady Bison are led by Shaylan Coleman, who averages 19.5 points per game, while also distributing five assists per game. Tasha Edge is scoring 12 points per game and leads the team with six rebounds per game.
 
Autumn Avina leads OBU with six assists and 2.5 steals per game.
 
OBU is coming off of a season-opening split in the GAC-MIAA Challenge in Joplin, Missouri, where they defeated host Missouri Southern State and lost to No. 11 Emporia State.
 
Arkansas-Monticello, playing at Lindenwood, defeated Lincoln before losing to the hosts.
 
Charlynn Perry leads the UAM women at 11.5 points per game, while Juanisha Young is pulling seven rebounds per contest. Britnee Broadway leads the Cotton Blossoms with five steals.
