Coming Up on Bison Hill (Oct. 9-15)

SHAWNEE – Another loaded week of home action awaits Oklahoma Baptist student-athletes this week. Here's what's coming up on Bison Hill.

Monday: Women's Golf concludes the fall portion of their calendar at the Great American Conference Preview in Oklahoma City on the Lake Hefner North course. Elly Baze tied for fifth overall at the same event last year, while the Lady Bison finished in fifth place as a team. Women's Soccer hosts West Texas A&M at 5:30 p.m. at the OBU Soccer Complex in the squad's final nonconference match of 2017. It will be the first all-time meeting between the two sides.

Tuesday: Women's Golf wraps up competition at the GAC Preview with a final round of 18 holes.

Thursday: Women's Soccer faces Harding in a league matchup at 5:30 p.m. at the OBU Soccer Complex. Kelsey Bumgarner and Hannah White were on target for OBU as the Lady Bison dropped HU, 2-1, in Searcy, Arkansas, earlier this season. Men's Soccer provides the nightcap when they host Harding's men at 7:30 p.m. The Bison will be looking for their first win in four outings against Harding when they take the field Thursday night.

Friday: Volleyball hits the road to take on Southern Arkansas in Magnolia at 6 p.m. Nicole Fleitman laid down a match-high 17 kills as OBU dropped SAU, 3-1, in Shawnee last year.

Saturday: Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving heads to Jenks for the Jenks Invitational. Oklahoma Baptist took home multiple titles at the same meet last year. Volleyball continues its Arkansas road trip with a contest at Arkansas-Monticello at 1 p.m. The Lady Bison will be looking for revenge after falling in five sets to the Cotton Blossoms at the Noble Complex last year. Women's Soccer hosts Ouachita Baptist at 1 p.m. at the OBU Soccer Complex. The Lady Bison blanked the Tigers for the squad's first clean sheet of the year when the two teams met earlier this year. Men's Soccer faces the Ouachita men's squad at 3 p.m., also at the OBU Soccer Complex. Dominic Gibson scored the only goal of the match as OBU shut out the Tigers in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, this past September. Football plays its penultimate home game of the year at 1 p.m. when they play host to Arkansas-Monticello. Josh Pettijohn racked up 114 receiving yards and a touchdown on four receptions as OBU narrowly fell, 31-27, in Monticello last year.
