SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist Cross Country will host the OBU Invitational meet this Saturday at Gordon Cooper Technology Center at 10 a.m.
The Lady Bison will compete against 12 teams from Butler, Central Oklahoma, No. 20 Dallas Baptist, East Central, Hardin-Simmons, Midwestern State, Oklahoma Christian, Ozark Christian College, Science & Arts of Oklahoma, Southeastern Oklahoma State, Southern Nazarene, and St. Gregory's.
116 women will compete in the 5k event on Saturday, including 14 from Oklahoma Baptist. Among those are Great American Conference Runner of the Week honorees
Abby Hoover and
Sydney Lawrence.
This will be the first and only home event for the Lady Bison in 2017 as they look to build off the momentum of a record-setting 5k performance last week at the Chile Pepper Festival in Arkansas.
