SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist's
Abby Hoover earned Great American Conference Runner of the Week honors, it was announced Thursday.
Hoover, a senior from Sapulpa, was the first college athlete to cross the finish line in the OBU Invitational Saturday, leading OBU to a near perfect score. She covered the five-kilometer course in 18:36.26.
Hoover, who also won the award last week, has claimed the honor three times this season and this marks the fourth such award she has received in her career.
OBU, which is ranked 16
th nationally, has claimed four of the five GAC Runner of the Week awards.
