SHAWNEE – Class is back in session, and our Bison and Lady Bison are similarly entering the busy part of the winter schedule. Here's what's coming up this week on Bison Hill.
Wednesday: Men's and
Women's Indoor Track head up to Wichita, Kansas, to take part in the Wichita State Shocker Prelude. Last year at the same meet, Oklahoma Baptist hit a combined 28 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) qualifying times, including 16 for the Lady Bison and 12 for the Bison.
Thursday: Men's and
Women's Swimming and Diving return to action at the Austin Grand Prix, a three-day event in Austin, Texas. The Bison competed at the event, which served as an Olympic Qualifier, last year, while it is the first time the Lady Bison will swim at the meet.
Women's Basketball plays host to Southeastern Oklahoma State inside the Noble Center at 5:30 p.m. The Lady Bison will even the all-time series at 15-all with a win.
Men's Basketball provides a nightcap at 7:30 p.m., also against Southeastern in the Noble. Oklahoma Baptist is looking for their first win over the Savage Storm since the 2010-11 season when they dropped Southeastern 72-64 in exhibition action.
Friday: The Austin Grand Prix continues for
Men's and
Women's Swimming and Diving.
Saturday: Men's and
Women's Swimming and Diving wrap up the Austin Grand Prix.
Women's Basketball squares off against East Central at home, with tip-time set for 1 p.m. Cameerah Graves poured in 18 points and dished out five assists as the Lady Bison dominated the Tigers, 91-59, in Shawnee last season.
Men's Basketball takes on ECU at 3 p.m. in Shawnee. The Bison last caged the Tigers during the 2011-12 season when they ran out 91-63 winners.
